Stainless Steel is an alloy that contains at least 50% Iron and 10% Chromium.

Adding this chromium gives the steel strength and it’s renowned corrosion resistant or “stainless” properties.

We at Pro-Speed use type 304 and 316 Stainless Steel which contains the following:
T316 - 16-18% Chromium & 10-14% Nickel
T304 - 18-20% Chromium & 8-10 ˝ % Nickel
Stainless steel will never rust, unlike mild steel and so requires little or no maintenance. Did you know – A structure made of Stainless Steel has many times the normal expected life span of the same structure made of mild steel. Over 100 years in many cases.
The bright, shiny, easily maintained surface provides an attractive, contemporary appearance.
The unique surface has no pores or cracks which could harbour dirt, grime or rust. It may be more expensive initially, but the extra cost is offset by its durability, and longevity significantly reducing cost in the long run. Therefore, when total lifespan is considered it is usually the least expensive option.
The performance of your exhaust directly effects the efficiency of your engine. A damaged or leaking exhaust will often make the car use more fuel.
A damaged, corroded or faulty exhaust system can mean that hazardous Carbon Monoxide gas may be drawn inside the vehicle.
MOT. The performance and efficiency of your exhaust is tested as part of the MOT.
